Architecture Illustration

This is my Architecture Illustration created in Illustrator. It's a five story pagoda found in Miyajima Island, Japan. It is one of the top three scenic places in Japan. I chose this building because I thought it was beautiful and peaceful. It is oraange and lights up at night. I mostly used the pen tool on this project.

Type Portraits

This is my Type Portrait project created in Illustrator. It was a project where I recreated the photograph of myself with typography. I did a portrait with lines of text and a portrait with text used as shapes. I used scripted text and also sans serif text. I used different kerning and leading to get different boldness of lines. In both portraits I used words and font that described who I am.

Skateplaza Logo

This is my SkatePlaza Logo created in Illustrator. It was created for a SkatePlaza in Bethlehem. I created the logo and stationary/business card/envelope with my group. We tried to make it more of a logo instead of an image. We tried to keep it contained in a circle. We kept the color scheme simple with grayscale colors and purple. It was more of an abstract logo. It had the skyline of the city in the background with a skateboard grinding all within a circle representing a bike tire.

Tattoo Website Interface

This is my Tattoo Website Interface created in Photoshop. I created a more stylized, trendy tattoo shop. It's a website that would be created with Flash. My tattoo shop is located in Orange County, California. I named the shop Naked Co. Ink and used trendy people as samples. I used a lot of different effects to get it the way I wanted it to look. On the home page it has small body text in the center describing the shop and what it's all about and I also added the hours the shop is open. I thought the font I used for the title fit perfectly for the mood I wanted to give my page.

Going Green Poster

This is my Going Green Poster created in Photoshop for the Environmental Task Force. I chose to use Global Warming as my topic because I feel extremely strong about Global Warming. This poster was created around the photograph that I found and I liked it a lot and thought it would fit nicely into a poster for Going Green. I used typography as an important element. CO2 was used to create the smoke. I payed close attention to the detail in my typography.

Magazine Cover

This is my Magazine Cover project created in Photoshop. I chose to do a snowboarding magazine that I names Board N Grind. I edited the original photo to make it have more of a purple tint. I used different fonts and I tried to used sans serif fonts. I chose orange for most of the fonts because it contrasts with the purple. I also tried to use a photograph that had a interesting angle that would draw a reader in. I decided to add the rectangles behind the title to add a little more branding to the name.

Time and Place

This is my time and place project created in Photoshop. I chose the Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle DVD cover. I replaced Lucy Liu with myself. I also replaced her name at the top of the cover with my name. I used a lot of editing to make myself look like the same style that was used in this photo. I used different contrasts, curves, levels, etc. Not only was the Photoshop editing important, but the original picture that was taken of me was also an important element in this project.
